2013 Senior Model – Emma | Green Hope High School

Meet Emma, another one of my 2013 Senior Models from Green Hope High School!  We had such a great time during our session – we kept things pretty casual and found some fun nooks and crannies in Apex for her session. And can we talk about how amazing this cobalt blue top looks on her? Perfect color for Emma!:)

If you’re a friend of Emma’s please be sure to ask her all about her session experience and she’ll give you a special little card that will give you a free print from your session. And if you want amazing images like hers, be sure to call me to set up an appointment – summer dates are booking fast!

Agree with J – really gorgeous. My fav is her walking down the street in the jeans and boots – she is rockin’ it!

Family – Cary and Raleigh Family Portrait Photographer

I’m so excited to share these images of my friend Stephanie’s family with you.  We had a such a great time during our session in Durham despite the potential for dicey weather. It was a pretty morning and mother nature cooperated perfectly for our session….and the skies opened up while I was on my way back to Cary! Yikes!

This adorable family was actually my very first family that I took portraits of as I was starting my business.  It’s pretty amazing to see how we’ve all grown in the last two years – and I’m happy to have them in front of my camera again. We’ve become such good friends this year as our boys have been in the same preschool class together – love these guys!:)

So cute! I love the photo of the kids with dad.

2012 Senior – Brett | Apex High School

Brett is my very first senior from Apex High School – he’s graduating in just a few short weeks! I knew he was really into playing the guitar but I had no idea how talented he was until he started playing a few songs during our session.  He’s classically trained and also likes to rock out to Stevie Ray Vaughn – that’s pretty cool in my book.

Good luck to you, Brett! I wish you all the best as you head out to college this fall! Congrats on your upcoming 2012 graduation!!

2013 Senior Model – Allie | Green Hope High School

I’m so excited to share another 2013 Senior Model this year! Introducing Allie from Green Hope High Class of 2013!  Allie is a bona fide runner – she’s on the track and cross country teams at school and is planning to run in college.  She’s also into country music and really appreciated me serenading her during our session. Yes, it’s a special treat I provide to my clients… anything for a laugh!:)

I mentioned this in a previous post, but I wanted to mention it again – new for the class of 2013 is optional professional hair styling and makeup!  Every single one of my models this year is treated to professional hair styling and makeup application by only the best artists in the area.  Not only is it fun to get your hair and makeup done, it also photographs beautifully!  Take a look at Allie’s before and after below – she looked pretty cute before, but the professional application made her eyes pop beautifully, don’t you think?

If you’re a friend of Allie’s please be sure to ask her all about her session experience and she’ll give you a special little card that will give you a free print from your session. And if you want amazing images like hers, be sure to call me to set up an appointment – summer dates are booking fast!

Gorgeous Erin.. she is stunning!

10 on 10

Time for another installment of 10 on 10.  I chose to do my 10 on my son’s 5th birthday and unfortunately, could not narrow it down to 10. So… 15 on 10 it is today.:)

His 5th birthday was a special one for all of us, and for some reason turning 5 seems to be a pretty big milestone.  It’s hard to believe he’s 5 already – it seems like just yesterday we we living in Virginia and heading to Fair Oaks Hospital…. yet, I almost can’t remember life before him. My world has been forever changed in so many ways since he’s been here and I love him for all of the ways he challenges me to be a better person and a better mom.

We started the day by waking him up to a room full of balloons and presents.  He requested that I wake him up by yelling “Happy Birthday” – how can you deny a request like that!!  I’m used to him being my alarm clock, but on 4/18 I actually had to set my alarm! Then it was a special birthday breakfast a Brigs, followed by “mystery bag day” at preschool and cupcakes.  I think every 10 on 10 of mine, so far, has included pics from preschool and I have to take a second to acknowledge how much we LOVE his school. His teachers are incredible and loving people and they have fostered such a wonderful learning environment for our kids.  I knew this would be a big year for growth for him, but I’m amazed when he  he comes home all excited to tell me that 3 + 3 +2 = 8. Mystery bag days are so fun for the kids too – they get a megaphone and ask their friends to help them spell their names – “gimme an N!” They’re also learning the calendar and he showed his friends that it was, indeed, Wednesday, April 18th. And then they get to bring in a special show-and-tell item and give their friends 3 clues to guess what’s in the bag.

Happy Birthday to my little buddy!!:)
